Kids Can Press advanced reader copies (thanks so much:-)

I sometimes don’t log on to the Netgalley or Edelweiss site for a couple of days and I end up playing catchup for a couple of weeks.  I was super lucky this time…I applied and got these 4 new picture books within a day!

The Most Magnificent Thing  absolutely adorable!

Starring Me and You I loved this book. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this story. Pig and Bunny want to put on a play. Bunny is shy and hides. Pig is shy but doesn’t show it. When they can’t decide on what play to put on, they argue but quickly make up. Such a great story that I will for sure be adding to the collection at school

There Was an Old Sailor  If you like the “There Was An Old Lady” books, this one is a fun and different twist…my complaint about it (being that I’m vegan) is that he eats  animals (but they end up coming back up, alive and well)

The Mermaid and the Shoe  All of King Neptune’s daughters have a for Minnow, who asks too many questions. When she finds a shoe one day, she embarks on a journey to discover what this object is. She asks the crabs, whales and octopus. She then tells the story of what she discovers to her family and much to her delight uncovers her purpose in life.
