Clementine by Sara Pennypacker

clementine   I have found a new fun series that I must read all of.  Clementine has a heart of gold, as is evidenced by how she looks out for her 3 year old brother.  She also has a huge dislike of pointy things, get distracted very easily and is more observant than most adults.  I figured out why she calls her brother different vegetable names (I should have figured that out on my own) and in this first book, Clementine figures out for herself why her family is great.  This is a great read aloud, and a great series for elementary school aged kiddos.
